"Planned Parenthood is Here to Stay"

Obama made it very, very obvious how he really feels about Planned Parenthood in a speech addressed to them earlier today. He thanked them for what they do and made it clear that they're going nowhere.

In his speech, he kept using the phrase "right to choose" and said that "women should make their own decisions about their health." Yeah... A woman should have the right to choose whether to endure the consequences of her actions or choose to murder a child. Technically everyone has the right to choose whether or not they murder someone. But our moral compass (serial killers, crazy people, and abortionists aside) deters us from making such heinous choices. It SICKENS me that a person can murder a pregnant woman and be on trial for two counts of murder. Yet a woman can abort her child with no consequences (other than maybe later regret or nightmares).

The second quote above also bothers me. I agree with it, but not at ALL in the same context. Yes, a woman does have the right to make decisions about her health. HER health. To eat right, to exercise, to make sure to go to the doctor once a year, put sunscreen on, etc. That unborn baby is not the same thing as the woman! They are two separate people! The baby needs the woman for the sake of its OWN health. A woman should have no right at all in the choice of whether her baby lives or dies. Who all of a sudden gave humans the power to be God?! If a woman can have sex, she can have a baby. Not ready for a baby, then don't have sex, idiot! Sheesh. People act like its some huge surprise you can get pregnant from having sex. News flash. You can.

And if those women who choose to have abortions could look months into the future and see themselves holding their baby, looking into their eyes, they would never choose to have that abortion. It goes against a woman's nature. It's not the way things were intended. We are nurturers, protectors of our children. America, and the world, have taken things so far. The gall of each and every one of us. It's a wonder God doesn't wipe us all off the face of the earth again. Shame on us.

Back to Obama. In light of the Kermit Gosnell trial, he had a lot of guts saying what he did to Planned Parenthood. And thanking them and saying, "God bless you." What he should be saying is, "God help us. God help us all."

Presidential Election Fraud

Okay, I'm going to do my best to explain this in a nutshell. It's come to light, as reported by Fox News that President Obama's name was forged on primary ballots in the state of Indiana back in 2008. Not only his, but Hilary Clinton's as well. The people responsible were convicted today after only a few hours in court.

Apparently (and please read the full story here to get all the details) Obama would not have reached the 500 required signatures to get a spot on the ballot without the faked ones. Unfortunately for the American people, this wasn't found out until now. If it had been uncovered back in 2008 when the primaries were happening, Obama could have possibly not been able to run for presidential office for the 2008 election. It really makes you wonder if this could have happened in other states...

Full disclosure, I am somewhat of a government conspiracy theorist but I'll generally keep my thoughts to myself. Except now when I'm backed up by Fox News. Don't believe me? Please read the article for yourself.

Abortions & Kermit Gosnell

In 2011 Planned Parenthood received $542 million in tax dollars. Why am I having to pay for someone to have an abortion?? I personally feel this should fall under separation of church and state (not to be confused with separation of God and country) because my religious, moral, and ethical beliefs are that abortion is 100% wrong. So how is it right that the government gives me no choice in the matter of the murder of thousands of babies every year? Yes Planned Parenthood does other things than abortions but no one can say that none of the millions of dollars they receive every year doesn't go toward conducting these surgeries. If anything, that's what the majority of those millions of dollars are used for!

On the topic of abortion, it's been very undermined the past few months due to shootings, bombings, and explosions, but the trial of Kermit Gosnell is just as important as anything. If you haven't heard, Gosnell has been on trial for the murder of 7 babies whose abortions were botched (the babies were then born alive and he proceeded to 'abort' them) and the murder of a 41 year old woman whose abortion he was performing and died of an overdose. He is also responsible for countless severe injuries sustained by women who had abortions at his Philadelphia clinic. His clinic was staffed with undertrained personnel which almost certainly contributed to these injuries.

Yesterday the judge dismissed the deaths of 3 of those babies due to lack of evidence showing they were killed after being born alive, despite testimonies of Gosnell's former clinic workers. However, Gosnell is still on trial for the 4 other infant murders and the death of the 41 year old woman.

This is a HUGE story for the abortion world and I absolutely hate its been overshadowed by so many other things. Please take the time to read the articles on Gosnell. This could be a much needed huge hit to Planned Parenthood in the future.

((There are several articles about this case. Daily Caller articles can be found here and here. The Fox News article can be found here. Fair warning; the accounts of the murders are gruesome.))

Follow Up: When 2nd Amend affects 1st Amend

Well, Jared Marcum returned to school Monday and wore the exact same shirt that got him suspended in the first place! Other students reportedly wore matching shirts or shirts that were very similar in a show of support. I say good for them!

The 14 year was still suspended for a day because the school said he disrupted school learning NOT because of the shirt itself. The Daily Caller reports that the family is looking to file a lawsuit for having their son arrested. And if you ask me, they'll win. As they should.

When the Second Amendment Affects the First Amendment

According to Fox News, an eighth grader was arrested and suspended from his West Virginian school for wearing an NRA shirt that displayed a rifle with the phrase "Protect Your Rights." Are you serious?! In the school's defense, it is ALLEGED that Jared Marcum got into an argument with a teacher over a disagreement with the shirt so that explains the suspension (kind of) but what of the arrest? No idea. I saw nothing in the Fox article (found here) that would make me believe this middle schooler deserved to be arrested!

Jared went 5 periods without anyone having an issue with his shirt. The teacher who had the issue had no grounds at all to ask Jared to change into something else. The school's dress code says nothing about wearing a shirt with a gun on it that is showing support for your American rights. Obviously his teacher just had a personal problem with his shirt and decided to infringe on Jared's First Amendment rights. I'm sure this child didn't handle the situation well when he was asked to change but to be honest, I wouldn't either! Someone who has an issue with the Second Amendment gets on my nerves enough but then that same someone wants to tell me exactly how I can use my right to the First? Um, I don't think so.

In the article it never specifies what exactly was said and the school declined to comment. All it says was Jared raised his voice. Maybe he didn't do anything wrong at all and the school is just trying to protect the teacher. Form your own opinion on this matter though. Read the article yourself for more in depth info.

Bombs and Guns: Ed Crane

“Since when does the government shut down half of Massachusetts (stay in your house!) to catch one 19-yr-old? If everyone in Boston had a gun there would be no shut down. Just a dead 19-yr-old.”

This was an email sent to the Daily Caller yesterday in reference to the Boston bombings by the founder and president of the libertarian Cato institute, Ed Crane.

I have been wanting to post about this email since I read the quote but felt I needed to express my thoughts on guns and gun control first. That can be found in the two posts below this one.

While I don't think he presented it in the right way, I have to agree with what Mr. Crane says. Instead of cowering in their homes, waiting anxiously for this boy to be found, the town could have rallied together and rid themselves of this terrorist without the aid of the government. Because really, what's a 19 year old boy against a town full of people with guns and a vendetta against him?

But under the circumstances this wasn't possible and thankfully he was caught anyway. I just found Mr. Crane's thought interesting and wanted to share it.

Gun Control part 2: Would it solve the issue?

Alright. Now that I've gotten out my beliefs on the whole gun control issue in the post below, I can talk about a very real consequence. If there were stricter gun control laws or if we had our gun rights taken away completely, would it really solve the violence issue in our nation? Be honest now. Because the whole reason (we're told by the government) to have stricter gun control laws is to try and lower our crime rates. Unfortunately what gun control activists fail to realize is that guns are not the only weapons used in violent acts. Knives, cars, bombs, baseball bats, hammers, flower vases, fists, and that's just to name a few, can all be used to get the same act done as a gun. Don't believe me? Back in December, a Chinese man went on a stabbing spree in China at a school and wounded 23 students. Many people didn't hear of this incident because we were all looking at the Newtown shooting. But was the shooting at Newtown really any different or more important than what happened in China? People were still wounded and murdered by a mad man using an instrument for the wrong reasons.

But to suggest banning knives (or hammers or cars, etc) would be a preposterous idea wouldn't it? Yet there are thousands of crimes every year that involve them or something else that isn't a gun.

Sure if guns were banned there'd be fewer crimes involving guns (fewer, but not no crimes because there would still be those criminals who refused to turn their guns in) but to suggest that banning guns would solve our crime and violence problem is ignorant. If guns were banned, people intent on harming other people would just find another instrument to use.

Such a simple idea that so many people fail to realize. So really. Ask yourself; if guns were permanently out of the picture, do you believe our nation's crime rate would fall? If you answered yes, you need a serious wake up call.
